WELCOME TO THE FARM! 10951 State Highway # 37, Lisbon, New York 13658 (click here for Map) 2008-2009 promises to be a busy year for CARI, with many new programs and ventures underway. As always our goal is to provide our North Country community with healthy and organic alternatives to farming, food, nutrition, and local production. Please take some time to browse through our pages for more information about each of our programs and new projects and events. Your feedback and suggestions are always welcome, and of course if you, too, are interested in creating a better quality of life in St. Lawrence County we would be more than happy to welcome you as a member of our volunteer team! HOW TO BUILD COMMUNITY - Important Message HIGHLIGHTS OF 2008 PROGRAMS & PROJECTS 1. ORGANIC GARDEN: Loads of fresh organic produce now available at our roadside stand. Come by and meet our gardener, Joe Metz. 2. CSA: Our Community Supported Agriculture Program is underway. Limited memberships are now available. 3. RIVER CO-OP: Still in the works - volunteers needed to help set up. Local and other healthy food alternatives at very reasonable prices! Commission vendors wanted! 4. COUNTRY GARDEN RESTAURANT: Great breakfast and lunch menus! Fresh baked goods, reasonable prices, refreshing river atmosphere. New: Friday night fish fry (wings & things) and LIVE MUSIC! 5. B&B and CAMPS: Reasonable rates for those who want the farming and St. Lawrence River experience, or simply need a comfy warm bed for the night. 6. WORKSHOPS: We are working on 2009 workshops that will be offered at little or no cost. Check out our "upcoming events" for recent news.
